The juror's already gave a verdict, what would be the incentive to kill them now? The murders and threats of murder usually happen before a verdict.
I get what you're saying, but you should probably throw out some of that rational thought when you're dealing with the psychopath that headed one of the most deadly cartels in history.

So what’s the back story as to how he was first caught? Did the columbians turn him in? Some Sinaloa higher ups got popped and rolled him?
What do you mean by “first caught”? He’s been arrested three times. Do you mean the time he was captured in Guatemala in 1993? If so, he fled Mexico to go to Guatemala after a Cardinal was killed and it was blamed on Guzman, even though he was one of the actual targets of the assignation and had nothing to do with the Cardinal’s death. He was set up by rival cartels in a supposed meeting with the Herrerias in Guatemala. The Guatemala army interceded and captured him. He was extradited to Mexico and sentenced to 20 years.

They're probably going to throw him in Supermax. El Chapo won't be able to communicate with the cartel ever again.

Yea I never bought the idea that the wall would stop drugs.
It’s to stop illegal immigrants and human traffickers.
It’s just easier to use legal entry points with a well paid off guard

So who is the next one up??
Not sure why we protect these guys rights so much. If they are known by the whole world who they are, and do then just snipe them out. And his next guys. Why we wasting so much money here??

We should let the jurors move here and give them new identities. Same for the witnesses and prosecutors.
It was an American trial. El Chapo was extradited a couple of years back.
ETA: Also, I can't wait to meet his character on Narcos: Mexico.

He really wasn't running the show the past 4-5 years. Cartel has only slowed down because of a competing cartel

am surprised Sean Penn has made it this long.. he was the reason Chapo was caught.
Haven't heard from him in awhile. He might already be in a shallow grave. Of course I think they would have him swinging from an overpass in Juarez if the cartel got him.

Dangit, didn't realize that.
Joke would have worked much better if the trial had been there.

Weren’t the jurors hidden? I bet there weren’t any. What’s the point? The motherfricker is guilty.

if she stays in mexico, she'll be murdered at some point by somebody and have all her shite stolen. if she stays in the u.s. or western europe, she'll get caught one day trying to wash the cash. if i were her i'd buy a dacha on the black sea

Question is, how long is he going to live? He has made his share of enemies around the world and all it takes is a minute while the guards are looking away.

You couldn't pay me enough to be a juror for this fricker's trial.
Also this story is going to make for an awesome movie in a couple of years. I can't wait.

I thought I'd read his IT guy was flipped. He then convinced elchapo to move his communications servers overseas, which were essentially bugged by law enforcement.
