Why would Eddie be pissed at Lorne? Eddie was working under Jean Doumanian and Dick Ebersol. Never even hosted under Lorne between leaving circa 1983 and the Spade joke in the early 90s.

Seems like David Spade was right. The only relevance Eddie Murphy has had in the past 15-20 years was providing voiceover for a side character in a kid’s animated movie franchise and 2 direct-to-streaming sequels of movies from the 80’s
