I believe I saw a new Lee High sign erected by the contractor. They would have to replace the new one with another new one.
Proof positive that they could care less about our tax dollars.

It's fricking retarded. I went there and my son is excited about going there next year. We bought him a Lee HS hoodie. All set. Now these pussies are going to not just cause instability, which is never a good thing for kids of this age, but also cast an unnecessary pall of racism over the school where it absolutely does not exist. As somebody said, the goddamn road is called "Lee". Do any of these idiots ever protest the road name?

Are there two different school districts in Baton Rouge?

You heard it here first.
MLK High.
He spoke at the school back in the day. All the justification they will need.
Here is article from NOLA.com on this from last year. Check it out. The NAACP wants the name to "better reflect the students going there." How is that for code words?

I bet no one cares about the 100s of alumni that attended Lee High School and cherish that name and their school. They don't count.
I grew up in Southdowns & graduated from Robert E Lee High School, not whatever they decide to call it.....this is absolute BS
When will they realize Hood, Pickett, Stuart, and Lee were all Confederate Generals and demand the street names be changed. LMFAO while shaking my head

No. Unions are far cry from the purpose they once served. In this instance, they did their fricking job and she remained employed. As she should have.

This is a lost cause and I say let them have it.
To what end do you "let them have it?" Appeasement is not the answer on these issues anymore IMO, because it will snowball into perpetuity. I would say a little spine is in order unless you are prepared to be a pacifist to these morons on every issue.

Are they taking suggestions? Schooly McSchoolface

I didn't mean be a pacifist. I meant get every student with a shot into a charter school of note and let the inmates burn the place to the ground. I did not attend public school so I don't have an emotional attachment. I can certainly understand those sentiments but, the schools you see now are not the schools many of you graduated from.

She has approached her principals(each one black) for help and was blamed for their actions each time. Last year, the assistant principal sat her class room for a review. He whispered to a black female student, "let's see if I can get this old white bitch fired."
The EBR school system has been an extension of a sorority of Southern University for years. I can't remember the name of it. You are either in, or out. It is the root of the problems within the system.
