The EBR school system has been an extension of a sorority of Southern University for years.
The only way to take it back is to out organize, outspend, and out vote the opposition in school board elections. Unfortunately, there's not enough people who care anymore.

The Houston ISD voted last month to change the names of 7 schools. They estimated that the cost of the change would be around $250k per school.

Hahahahahahahahaha I listened to it as well and when I heard her say "disjustice" I was floored. If this is the type of person fighting for education then we are totally screwed. As per usual I just heard a bunch of complaining and whining. Nothing new.
Oh and fat Gary Chambers blessed everyone with his dumb commentary. When the person ask who he was he was like, "uhh, Gary Chambers," like I can't believe you just asked that question. Gary was nice enough to let us know that he was raising his daughter to be an African princess which is nice i guess.
Also, why do people who not live in the area care about what a school is named??

When ever the blacks make suggestions about who the school should be named after the suggest a black person. Why don't we just compromise and name it after a Hispanic or Asian. I'm down with that. Maybe like Emilio Estevez high school or Jackie Chan High or some shite like that

Here is a question...
When they rebuilt the whole thing 2 years ago, why didn't they change it then and save they money it will take to change it now?

Hate to break it to everyone but this is a formality. Everything in the place already has Lee Magnet High School as the name except the outer sign on the street. The buildings are nice and it is what you call a sister school to BRMHS thus the want to put the Magnet in the name for Lee. In fact students and BRMHS and LMHS will be taking classes at both places and will be shuttled between the two. Also, the only reason they are making it official is because parents sent letters to the super requesting the name change.

New Proposed name: White Apologies Highschool - A school dedicated to making minorities above white people because frick equality, racism from white people is a crime but racism against white people is progress.
Will that fit on a plaque?

I think we can all agree. The time has come for Boaty Mcboatface High School.

Discuss Changing Lee High's Name
Strange that they are so angry about that school's name given that Lee opposed secession and was often a little more liberal-minded about black rights than most of his contemporaries (that said, he didn't exactly have a perfect civil rights record either...but then again neither did a lot of other folks who have schools named for them and are not considered controversial).

I was a sophomore when the mascot was changed from Rebels to Patriots.
Robert E. Lee high school died 10 years ago. No sense in making a big fuss about it now. That multi million dollar shite hole is the magnum opus of white apologists and black opportunists. I hope they do change the name and spare me the embarrassment.

What was dumber was changing the mascot from Rebels to Patriots.
Like my brother said when that happened: "So I guess Lee was not a traitor now? He was on the right side according to them?"

Wow. It seems as though the blacks have this great educational model they've been sitting on forever, and can only now unvail by getting the whites out of the way, and we will all surely flock to it.
Popkern.....
Not looking good.
Oh wait, we need to bus some white kids into our school to make it look good, regardless of what the black kids need to do better. Let's keep looking the other way and blame everyone else.

We can look to Africa and the major American cities they've ran for forty years as shining successes of black leadership and education. Wait a minute...

Unveil.
Obviously you're a shining example of white education.

My suggestion for any renaming of the school would be to find something as offensive as possible to insist that the new name be in order to highlight the stupidity of the situation.
My specific suggestion would be Dan White High School with the sports teams named the "Fighting Twinkies", but I'm also an a-hole.
Bonus points given if the school fight song becomes "I Fought The Law" by the Dead Kennedys.
