Cops near me hide over the hill and catch people every single day. Speed changes there and most people ignore it, 35 from 55 quickly is a bitch if not full paying attention.
Eight years ago I had to cross Waldo Florida daily. They'd six eight cops deep right there and pull you over for any reason. It got shut down eventually by Alachua. Cops there finally had enough of the shite they had to do. They were required to each write six tickets a day minimum. If towards the end of their shift, they just pulled cars over and made up reasons from illegal lane shift to seat belt violations just to get the ticket count. It was insane. I got 6 different tickets in a year and a half. Only one was a ticket earned.

Corner of Jones Creek & Coursey. they had 3 units parked in the old On The Run gas station parking lot (which has zero lighting.) Had 2 other units about a 1/2 mile down JC. They were walking out into traffic behind cars with flashlights - giving out "speeding tickets" while illuminating the entire inside of the car.
This was Monday & Tuesday night, not sure about last night since I wasn't in the area.

The best part? They got a Gov grant for the sole purpose of setting up these checkpoints. They got grant money to extort money from the citizens. And the deputies manning these checkpoints are working extra duty and are getting paid $60/hr.
