EBR inspector for tree limbs - removal

We cut down a bunch of limbs for spring pruning, and they weren't picked up last Thursday. We then called to have work orders (Friday and Monday), but they still weren't picked up. Now the parish has to send an "inspector" to make sure they're legal, or whatever. Anyone had their garbage inspected? ha ha
Any good ideas of how to dispose of these if they won't pick them up? A burn pile is not an option.
Also, can we just create St. George parish and have our own services for everything? Little green garbage trucks with a dragon on the side would be cute.

Somewhere on the EBR website they have a link or PDF that shows the collection requirements for yard waste or whatever they call it.
They have to be within a certain size threshold and stacked a certain way at the curb etc. I guess so that the grabber arm on the truck can pick the bundle up and get it into the truck.
I did not know they would send anybody to inspect it for you and let you know if it's within the specs or not.

Bro ebr only picks up tree trash if there’s a hurricane

There are regulations for trash pick up now that started when Broome negotiated the contract with the trash pick up company.

Read the new rules. They have to be a certain length in a pile a certain height and a certain distance from the road. All rules created by the contractor during the “negotiation” when they doubled our trash pick up rates a couple of years back. Someone 100% got paid off.

What's that pay? Are they hiring?

My buddy did that job for a few months. For a city job the pace was insane and he got burnt out. Some days he was inspecting up to 3 piles a day. Barely had enough time to go home and take a nap after lunch.

Any way you can cut them up and place them in your existing bin, even if it takes several pickup days for it to be completed. Once the pile gets low enough, they may finally grab it

Thanks, everyone. I've read the rules, but to us it looks like we're in regulation. I find this so maddening. Just send a dang truck and pick up the garbage. This. Is. Not. Hard. Basic city service.

I will cum and inspect it for you. I am only available between 9am-3pm as I don't like husbands and kids around during my inspections.

To save your grass at the curb, snip them straight and load in your trash can.
May take a few pickup days.

Just throw them in the closest canal or drainage ditch like everyone else.

they want to see if a tree service did it and left it to the parish to haul off...

Thanks ever so very much in advance.

In Tuscaloosa they have to have been cut by the homeowner, not someone else who you paid to do it. If someone else does it they are supposed to remove the debris.
They also have a restriction on length and weight, so that the truck with the claw can pick it up. I think its 4' long and less than 250#.

Just burn them.

They just changed all the bulk garbage rules. Have to be a certain size, in certain sized-piles, and they will not pick up an entire tree now.
Did you follow the rules?

The fact that someone is employed and paid to do this is proof that the government is too big. This job shouldn’t exist

Part of Broom’s less service for more money program.
