Maybe we could harvest that Nitrogen to use as plant food.

The soil needs replenishing. I’ll do my part by pissing in my back yard instead of it going down the sewer.

“Americans eat more protein than they need to”?

Not from what I’ve seen. They eat carbs like a motherfricker unless they are into fitness like bodybuilding or CrossFit.

Government wants to strip rights away from citizens. Needs a reason that will go unquestioned. Enter Trust the Science. Government funds science facility. Facility publishes falsified study to achieve government’s goal.

I thought several countries were in a nitrogen shortage?

Americans are killing the planet with our gas guzzlers and ribeyes. Meanwhile…

If you're pissing pure nitrogen, you might want to get your kidneys checked

70s - eggs are bad - dont eat them
80s - egg whites are fine, dont eat yolks
90s - eggs are fine cholesterol in food does not affect cholesterol in blood but red meat is bad - heart attack
2000s - meat is fine, what you eat is more about heredity

someone gets paid to do a study and the person who pays for it takes what they want from the study to affect society as the feel. None of it is science or fact. Scientist who do the study is silenced from revealing the true nature of the study as inconclusive.

if its that big a problem, the solution is not to regulate our food. Its to install or increase the capacity of denitrification tanks at municipal waste treatment plants. this isnt some new technology. Shits been around forever.

From an engineering perspective, all of these "crises" are just simple mass and mole balances. We take a mole of something out of the ground or air, we need to put it back in a way that it can be used again. Our current "landfill" model of moving it from one source and dumping it permanently to another is kind of flawed. The same thing will happen with lithium battery waste in a decade or two.

I'm too dumb to know if you're correct but it sounds right.

When we overconsume protein—whether it comes from lentils, supplements or steak—our body breaks the excess down into urea, a nitrogen-containing compound that exits the body via urine and ultimately ends up in sewage.

Milorganite Fertilizer

This problem already has a solution. I use this fertilizer exclusively because I live on the Cahaba River and don't like the idea of chemical fertilizers near the river. It works great btw.

Isn’t protein the one thing that studies show people don’t consume enough of on average?

I think that's true in the "losing weight" context. People trying to diet don't eat enough protein (which negatively affects them b/c they don't get full enough and it leads to cheating and failure).

Depends on which "study" you choose to believe. I don't believe any.
