Awesome. Being organized makes it so much easier to do this.
I literally just take a giant flat pan and do half raw veggies and half chicken, olive oil, salt, pepper, then pop into the oven. Lately I've been using paprika or lemons with it.
Usually makes me about 4-5 meals and takes no time at all.
If you want to have variety it will likely be more time consuming, but that's okay. You'll appreciate it when you're sitting at work having a delicious, legit, healthy meal.

Eating healthy sucks but isn't too bad.
I eat egg whites and an english muffin for breakfast. A large portion of ground turkey, chicken, and rice for lunch. Protein bar before I head home from work. Protein shake after working out. Shrimp and rice in the evening.
The only thing that takes time to prepare is my lunch meal which I cook for the week every Sunday night.

It's easier and cheaper.
You can grill 6lbs of chicken, bake 2lbs of green beans and make a huge pot of garlic mashed potatoes for < $30.
You can eat on that for a week or 3-4 days as a couple.

crockpot for the win
Mfing this. There are some days I leave my house at 6:30am and don't get home till 3:00 am. Between 2 jobs and school, my Crock-Pot is more important to me than pretty much any food prep item besides a microwave.
Nothing better than coming home after working 16 hours plus sitting in class for 4+ hours to a hot meal. plus I just freeze/ refrigerate leftovers and boom! Fresh lunch for a week

You really have to get to the point that you won't accept eating fake food.
When we start to see food as real vs fake, instead of just healthy vs unhealthy or good vs bad, it becomes a lot easier to eat well all the time.

Soem easy things to do when eating out...
Eat kids meals at fast food joints
Split a plate with your wife at a "sit down" restaurant.
I ballooned up to over 300 after I got out of the military. Now I'm back to sub 250.

If it hasn't been posted, avoid hyperprocessed, packaged food. Fresh fruits and vegetables, lean meats, etc, as opposed to something in a box with a long list of unpronounceable ingredients.

you can eat anything and still lose weight
only autists believe you need to eat "meal prep with broccoli and green beans" every day to be a healthy person. its actually pretty amusing to see these people look like skinny fats after eating like a bird for 6 straight months, just lol

Why not pack a lunch for work to start?
Posted on 1/22/17 at 1:28 pm to MSG
Costco has lots of organic healthy items. Buying Chicken, Eggs, Beef, fruits, veggies, & nuts in bulk will save you $. If its just you try going half in with someone. Work out 4x week and eats carbs 2x week. If you drink soda stop. Eat your carbs. Water & Coffee/Tea, & not sweet tea

How do u make steamed veggies taste good? Can't tolerate raw veggies and only enjoy them with lots of seasoning and lots of butter.

Butter is fantastic for you. Sea Salt not terrible either.

Add any of the following:
Grass fed butter
Olive oil
Salt/pepper
Garlic (or combine all of above to make garlic butter)
Grated cheese if you handle dairy well (grass fed preferred, grated Parmesan is very versatile)
Salsa
Guacamole
Other strategies:
Use cauliflower as a base to make mashed "potatoes". Can add all the fixins you would put on a baked potato (butter, sour cream, chives, bacon, etc). George Stella has a recipe floating around on the web somewhere
Placed steamed broccoli or cauliflower into your favorite cream or cheese based soups....
Expensive strategies:
Atheletic greens
Dr Cowan powdered veggies

Vegetables give you the power to live your life with vitality and freedom from disease. To protect their vitality, we dehydrate our organically grown vegetables with low heat and store them as powders in Miron violet-glass jars. The secret to availing yourself of their disease-fighting nutrients is diversity: Eat small amounts of a wide variety of plants daily, especially perennial vegetables, rather than a large amount at one or two sittings. Because perennial vegetables grow for years, they have wider-spreading and deeper-seeking roots that take up more nutrients in the soil. These plants have significantly higher levels of minerals, vitamins and protein than annual vegetables. In addition to perennials, we powder the most nutritious annual vegetables available, such as kale, Swiss chard, tomatoes and leeks. Some of the healthiest people who ever lived – from Native Americans to traditional Africans -- consumed such plant diversity. Our vegetable powders make this approach easy, delicious and fun. You'll love how their concentrated flavors enrich any dish.

and expensive if you do it right.
This is completely false. When we diet, we spend ALOT less money than when we are not dieting. And that is my wife and I each eating 5 meals a day.
We typically cook a weeks worth of food on Sundays. The key is planning and preparation. If you have food prepared to take with you, you are typically not going to stray from your goal. Its when you dont bring anything with you that you stray.
Heres a hint as well.. a presure cooker was the key to us being able to diet so well. Its amazing how much it cuts down on cooking time.
