I didn't realize India was going to pass up China that soon. I thought that was a couple decades out.

Yep, allegedly China has overcounted their population by ~100MM people (losses skewing heavily female under one child policy), Chinese population has likely already peaked and doomed to regress to 650MM by 2060s. (per folks like Ziehan)

The USA and Europe will be flooded with 3rd world immigration. And people will say they deserve a chance to come here to share in the “American Dream”!

And that’s why the earth is so severely overpopulated. It isn’t the sheer number of humans that counts, it’s their use of resources.
Because we don’t have a world government to regulate things (we’re not a hive species) there are absolutely no checks on wild population growth.
Third-world countries will continue to rapidly increase in population and, when faced with a lack of resources, will migrate to countries that don’t have high birthrates, such as with Central and South Americans to the U.S.
No one seems to see the big picture. Rapid increases in populations of the poorest countries more than offset declines of birthrates in First World countries.
The earth’s total population will continue to surge upwards for the rest of this century, barring some castrophe.

Right. A lot of people will say "you can fit the world's population into Texas." Available land isn't the issue. It's how do you feed everyone? The food system is almost entirely dependent on fossil fuel inputs. Once those go into decline, we are in big trouble. But, I am in the Malthusian camp on that.

That’s actually a good way of saying it. No one is going to stop people screwing. Not in China, India, the ME, South America, or anywhere else.
Babies come from screwing. Most of the world’s religions mandate that when a woman becomes pregnant, she must bear and raise the child.
Nobody is going to tell people to drop their religions. And no religion is going to tell people to stop screwing.

Yeah, I’ve watched a lot of his stuff on YouTube. By his line of reasoning, it’s not overpopulation we should be worried about. It’s really making sure we are at replacement level of reproduction.
The US is barely at replacement level. Most of the developed world is below replacement, with aging population. That means there won’t be enough productive age people in those societies to support all the geezers. That’s when the shite hits the fan.

people arent gonna have the money to support themselves into their old age and will rely on the government(taxpayers) who are already stretched thin.
And that is why we MUST raise the age of eligibility and use means testing for Social Security. Or like the Democrats say, “the republicans want to kill social security!!”

So, churn rate not keeping the pace (ie, Covid, opioids, Krispy Kremes)?
Tisk tisk.

Thermonuclear War toe-to-toe with the Russkis and Charlie is one solution to that problem.

Zeihan and others who share his views also point out that the US is unique in 3 major ways that much of the rest of the developed world isn't. 1)We have a surplus of food and the potential to produce more. 2)We don't have to worry about a land invasion (by a standing army) 3)We are energy independent
Essentially the US is a stable nation worthy of investing in even as the rest of the world goes to shite.
That said, the rise of far left lunacy and all forms of extremism in Politics/policy is our Nations biggest hurdle in my opinion. We need to quickly get ourselves back to the middle.

Well, we’ve had Republican administrations and Democrat administrations that were too stupid to do anything about open borders.
What will it take? Maybe a Muslim terrorist carrying in a suitcase nuclear bomb?
