Earlier at Walmart, got behind a dude trying to scam $100 from the cashier..

I usually go for bulk stuff for weekly meal prepping.
I saw her give him the $100 back but saying anything to a scamming POS would be useless. On may way out, I walked over to the cashier who was standing by costumer service and said we (had my son with me) both saw her hand him the $100 back.
What’s the end game for a loser like that? Continue to argue that he is still owed $100 when the register comes back perfect?

I was behind someone at Walmart that was trying to confuse the cashier. He was getting an iced tea. He first gave her $100, and when she was making change, asked for the $100 back and gave her $2 instead.
She gives him the $100 back and forgets to give him the change from the $2. She called a manager over, he opened it and she gave him his change from the $2.
He then started arguing that he didn’t get the $100 back and they started counting down the register.

Were there a lot of costumers in there?

Everyone on this forum has been to Wal Mart. You don’t have to qualify your statement as to why you went.

You are a POS for not saying anything until after the entire thing unfolded and only to the cashier

Sadly, not near us.

Hoping they'll just give him something so he'll shut up and leave.

It would not have mattered.
Plus, me being white would have seriously escalated the problem.

As a neutral party observer I think you actually should have spoke up tbh.
And I usually don't like people to get involved.
I really think you should have said what was right. You assume you can't tell a scammer otherwise, but it definitely would have made the cashier feel better and it might have made the scammer think twice.
I absolutely would have said something and in a non rude way.. just something like, "Sir, she? absolutely did hand you back your $100."

You had THE perfect opportunity for a life lesson for your kid...
And you blew it. The least you could have done was bailed out the cashier. Wtf?

You didn’t have to confront the guy directly. Go find another employee and report what you found to them. They can then inform the manager.

Life lesson?
It isn’t worth the BS that would have followed over $100. I’ve been in similar situations and saying anything wouldn’t have ended the situation.
He was all in and Mr White Privilege wouldn’t have changed it.

No doubt. All that weightlifting he’s always going on about on the Health Board, and he was too big a bitch to say anything to stand up for the minimum wage making cashier in front of the scammer? Had to tiptoe over to them at customer service and whisper what he saw after the incident was over? With his son there watching his father cower when presented with an opportunity to do what’s right? fricking terrible.

Like I said, it wouldn’t have mattered.
This is over $100 and isn’t worth me, or my son, getting directly involved.

Yo broke arse shop at Walmart. Did you know that in NBR and every other democrat city, every abandoned building is a secret shopping center for the elite. Just stop by one on plank road and see.

Sooner or later, people have to get involved to stop wrong doing.

And that’s why you NEVER put the bill in the drawer until you have counted the change back to the customer
