It’s why a lot of places don’t take $100 bills
On top of counterfeiting

People have always tried to take advantage of Walmart customer service and cashiers

I agree. You being white accusing him of lying would have escalated it to a point of it not being worth it. He will probably be in jail anyway within a year due something completely different.

I have a friend who works the self checkout and people are constantly stealing or trying to steal.

At times she'll just say "We're doing a rescan".

More often than not if people just pitch a fit and bitch they'll let them get away with it.

It’s called quick change artist. It’s very common with cashiers especially around the holidays.

You are not out of the club for ruining one of our locations. Say your goodbyes and prepare your suicide note.

You’re supposed to put the large bill on top of the till to deter this.

What were the races of the scammer, the manager and the cashier?

We had more of this on the east coast, with the Travelers doing their circuit.

A variation was to shoplift something expensive (bottle of perfume), then purchase the same item and make a big deal of paying with a hundred dollar bill, then walk right back in and return the item, saying you lost the receipt or the cashier didn’t hand it to you. They demand cash back because everyone saw him pay with a hundred.

Now he has a cash receipt for the stolen item and he can return it for cash at another location.

I suspect they don't have GOOD cameras at every register though

Every register has a camera focused in on the till at Walmart. You can read the serial number off the bill, that was 10+ years ago, I am sure they got better when they upgraded with all these self check outs.

Some of the cameras can pan and zoom, you could read the information on a shelf label easier on those cameras than in person... Walmart skimps in a lot of areas, but on cameras they have some NICE stuff.

The cameras watching bodies SUCK compared to the cameras watching money and the pan and zoom cameras.

Would happen all the time when I was a teller at a major bank.

They trained us on it though and I was good at counting, so them bastards could never fool me. A new unconfident teller though was an easy mark

Its called Quick hanging. I work at a bank in Baker while in college. Its very common.

They try to confuse the teller/cashier. They did the correct thing in counting down the drawer, if he persist then the camera will be looked in to.

I saw her give him the $100 back but saying anything to a scamming POS would be useless. On may way out, I walked over to the cashier who was standing by costumer service and said we (had my son with me) both saw her hand him the $100 back.

Meh... you are as big a POS as the customer was for not speaking up.

Great example for your kid, dipshit. Now he's gonna be a pussy arse bitch like his father.

Also, you're more embarrassed about shopping at Walmart than being a pussy as bitch.

Pussy arse bitch...

Why didn’t you speak up when you saw what he was doing?
