I've been invited to an Eagle Scout Court of Honor in February. This is for a young man that is the son of a friend of mine that I see 2-3 times a year (so we are not very close). As an Eagle Scout myself of course I am proud of him but I won't be able to attend due to prior commitments that day.

I haven't had someone around me get Eagle in a while, so what's a good gift to send the young man? I was thinking a nice card and $20. But anyone have better ideas?

If you know a taxidermist, then how about a nice stuffed eagle?

Search on Etsy. There are a few good options.

A real wooden canoe hollowed out of northern white cedar by no one other than yourself.

Anything less and you might as well just not send anything.

When I got my Eagle 25 years ago I think I got 8 different pocketknives as gifts. And I had like 5 to begin with.

I gave a nephew a nice Case pocket knife with bone handle. About $50.

I just looked. They have a sword!!

But when I looked into it it's only a wall decoration.

Good stuff on there though thanks for the suggestion.

Scouting has changed a lot over the past 20 years.

Get him a frame for his LGBTQ+ badge.

A bottle of Eagle Rare seems appropriate.

At one time the standard gift was a Desert Eagle. Now it is a pearl-handled derringer.
