the original show really needed Phil and Jase to balance it out.

The original show revolved around the entire crew plus Jep, Si, Martin, and Godwin working at Duck Commander with Willie as the boss interjected with some family thrown in. The only one of those dudes that even knows where that place is these days is Martin so I will be intrigued with how they develop an overall plot since they pretty well beat that old plot to death. Plus, there is only so much mileage you can get bouncing around Monroe/West Monroe places of interest lol that hasn't already been filmed.

Honestly, I am kinda surprised if Jase even gets on board with this. He has had his own show for the last few years that was about metal detecting plus the podcast he does and all the speaking gigs he goes on. His show was molded along the same script as Duck Dynasty, but I don't think it really ever took off so not sure if made a Season 2. I liked it.
I hought it was cool since they went to places all over NE LA which brings back memories of home.

A&E has greenlit Duck Dynasty:

Pretty dumb show, with the family playing, “Watch the stupid shite I’m gonna do now.”

TV industry must be completely out of ideas.

I really have no interest at all in this. Louisiana based reality shows, namely Duck Dynasty and Swamp People, seem to be produced in large part as a tool to give people outside Louisiana a reason to point and laugh at us. Meanwhile, most Louisiana residents eat the shows up.

Bought all of the seasons on dvd. The kids watch it on road trips and love it, scripted or not.

All tv is scripted for those who aren’t aware.

I always thought maybe on the last show they would all shave off their beards or at least trim to a short length. That would be cool to be a more mainstream look.
Did they always have such long beards or were they grown out for the series?

Si is in worse shape than Phil.
Friend of their family told me that this weekend.

unscripted series

My favorite "unscripted" moment was when they got "lost" less than a mile from the shop. I'm glad they are back on though, was always fun to see where they were filming.

All these years later there are still people stopping every day to take their photo in front of the sign on the building.

Sounds like A&E is scrambling for ideas and realized they have none. But if I'm the Robertsons I'll take their money.

Yes, I will gladly watch this real show before watching Duck Dunasty. I think it is a pay subscription channel now.
