What does God define as drunk? What if God defines drunk as being in any sort of altered consciouness? Your body is a temple for God, it should never be in an altered state nor should it be desecrated.
Because of Psalm 104:15 it would be hard for me to say that having any type of altered conscience state is drunkenness. But because of Ephesians 5:18 it seems I never need to let alcohol effect me to the point where the holy sprit can't guide my conscience. Where that line is is up to the Christian and their conscience as it is guided by the Holy Spirit. To me that is much less dangerous the setting a hard and fast rule that all must follow which would go against Colossians 2:22.

Heavy taxpayer subsidies. They're the biggest welfare recipients in the state.

most christians believe alcohol is ok in moderation
As of recently yes. But I grew up in a baptist church, grandfather was a minister, and the other was a deacon.
I can tell you for a fact that Southern Baptist churches do not serve wine in church and frown upon drinking for the most part. Although many of the newer age churches have stated its fine in moderation. Nondenominational churches are different.
There is a large difference in beliefs between each faction of Christianity.

You have still failed to tell me where making alcohol (which is a natural occurrence, BTW) is equitable to being a drunkard. I'll wait....

Duck Commander's cheap, Walmart line of vino -- which goes for $9.99.
If that ain't country...
9.99 isn't really that cheap. Especially not for Duck Commander wine.

Phil Robertson ran around on his wife and blames alcohol and the devil. Doesn't fully accept responsibility to himself, I have little respect for the man.

There's a reason so many half-assed reality TV shows come out of LA.
1) Reality TV is dirt cheap to make (especially before the stars get "big."), thus networks just churn different ones until something sticks.
2) Filming credits in LA make already cheap projects really viable.
3) The rest of the nation has a weird fascination with parts of LA.

Because their entire persona is fabricated? They lived most of their lives as rich New England yuppies they ain't these good ol baws they pretend to be.
So I take it you don't know them. They are far from yuppies though they aren't the white trash persona they are broadcasted as on the show, they are very much a typical upper middle class Ouachita Parish family. Up in WOh they are actually high class, but defintiely not yuppies either.
To the OP, Phil and Alan are the only two I know that don't drink, but that is due to past addictions and not personal beliefs. The Bible warns of the temptation and effects of over consumption by the Church and preaches abstaining by a priest/pastor/reverend/ preacher and not over-consuming by church leaders/deacons. I don't see the problem with it tbh, but to each their own. I grew up in a conservative Baptist home and know that any consumption is sin as a sin by a lot of Baptist, so I guess I can understand the assumption of hypocrisy by some.

Two Buck Chuck can still be gotten for ~$2.79 and is probably better.

Exactly what I was thinking.

At this point does anyone not know that reality tv is scripted?
Ultimately the reason the format is so successful is due to the economics more than anything else though.

Does the fact that he changed his life not show that he accepted responsibility? I've never understood how folks like you criticisize a Christian for a bad past. The very foundation of our faith is the acknowledgment that we are needy sinners in need of forgiveness and change.

I have met lawyers from other states that have asked me whether I took an airboat to school.
These are working professionals with post-grad degrees. It amazes me every time.
