I’m sure I’m in the minority here, but the group of 4 were provoking these guys, presumably for playing slow. This can be handled much better than it was, if a group of 4 wants to pass a group of 2 and play faster than them, you have to assume the next hole was open and they could outpace them.
The poor guy pathetically attempting to break it up was right, leave him alone, you already proved your point now you are antagonizing someone that can barely stand up.
None of this is to say these 2 weren’t drunk dumbasses, but I think it’s pretty clear they tried to start a lopsided fight with them.
