We can just call it water. Just assume there are always sharks because that's where the sharks live.

I read that sharks in that area have lasers on them.

Just before noon on April 27, 1932, Crane jumped overboard into the Gulf of Mexico. Although he had been drinking heavily and left no suicide note, witnesses believed his intentions to be suicidal, as several reported that he exclaimed "Goodbye, everybody!" before jumping overboard. The ship was about 300 miles away from Cuba. An article the following day from the New York Times linked his death to his father's. His body was never recovered. A marker on his father's tombstone at Park Cemetery outside Garrettsville, Portage County, Ohio includes the inscription, "Harold Hart Crane 1899–1932 lost at sea".

That sucks for his dad and brother. I’m not sure how you get over that mentally.

I’d question Bryan Sims some more.

And I still have zero desire to go on a cruise.

Standing room only in a hot tub. Great times!

It is one thing to have a child/brother die at 20, another to have a child/brother commit suicide but a whole other thing to have a 20yo child/brother commit suicide right in front of you. The dad will probably never get over the thought that if he didn't bitch about him being drunk he may still be here.

Clearly he was powerless over alcohol and his life had become unmanageable.

AA would have been a better option than learning to fly without wings, and learning to swim without a flotation device.

Re Hart Crane:
He jumped
Overboard

And his father - a business dude from Akron - invented the Lifesaver candy.

Think on that.

There’s drunk, and then there’s jumping off a cruise ship drunk. His father and brother will never forgive themselves because of his decision. Drinking for the first time and boats in the middle of the ocean don’t mix well together.

Currents are strong in the area. Depending on how long it takes for enough assets to get on site (which most other countries don't have a lot of) the search area will expand quickly if they cannot saturate his last known position.

With the prediction rate you have you we’ll be eating by a shark in less than a month

I like how they add the cruise ship is the 35th largest in the world like that’s an important piece of information

Teach your kid how to handle booze. I think they're usually on other shite too, in addition. The default response you teach your kids, is "go the f$&*@ to bed. She'll still put her mouth on your Johnson in the morning. (ETA, I don't mean your kid is going to do sexual stuff, I meant the friends your kid has that makes the incessant excuses.)

This is dark, but maybe make your kids rappel or skydive. Then people get what height is, and how it can kill you.
