Fine. I'll bite. I don't like any of them either but the faux outrage over THESE strikes when we know these people pose an actual DIRECT threat to the US homeland vs some supposed terrorist in another sovereign country on the other side of the globe is apples and oranges. If the left hated it so much we might have been able to change the law during Obama. So this whole outrage against Hegseth/Trump over this is pure bat guano.
That said....as a former CG officer..... I wish they would wait til these tools are near our contiguous zone (24 miles), warn them over the radio and wait for them to cross that line. Then the second they do declare them stateless pirates under UNCLOS and blow them out the water. It can be more easily couched as direct threat to the homeland, US sovereignty and violations of US narco/customs laws and military actions were in its defense. Putting more coasties lives at risk trying to chasing down these criminals is risky business. Too many get hurt or killed that never makes the news cycle.
Doing this on the "high seas" even outside our EEZ is the US still trying to be the world police which the majority of Americans are opposed to.

Now do Obama's 473 strikes between 2009 and 2015 which killed an estimated 2,372–2,581 suspected combatants and 64–116 civilians on the other side of the planet.
I retired in 22' and was hoping to stay here. I'm second guessing that now.

He also talked about it when he talked about the team being briefed about the history of the Egg Bowl. He described how only half were here last year for the briefing and hardly any two years ago for the briefing.
The lack of player loyalty in the new "system" is definitely playing a big role in his decision whatever it is.

GROK is better.
An MOU is not enforceable and less so than a handshake or verbal agreement. Keep on keepin on.
re: Samalis in Minnesota sending remittances back to Somalia.... our tax dollars! Disgusting

It ain't just the Somali's doing this. All the illegals are as well. Lots of money flowing back to Central and South America. They are all bleeding the USA dry and propping up their own home countries in the process.

Years from now we'll say trump was right again. These are terrorists. Unless the shooter was on the loose I don't get why they had to clear out the whole festival. This is exactly what "they" want. "They" want us to hide. The words of Bush immediately following 9/11 come to mind.

If you have any cheap TEMU electronics or cell phone charger "blocks" start with removing those first.
I'm a RE agent and sit alot of home inspections. When we have problems testing those breakers its almost always one of those two things on newer homes.
Good luck!

Oh snap. Other than methyl ethyl eat your left testicle that is some really nasty stuff. Horrible way to go.

Well just "spend" our way out of the problem. People keep voting for it.

Victims can easily be redacted if they choose. Its not like we havent had this info for years.
I believe the issue here is that the bill as written does not provide for the redaction of their information from the files prior to release. Which I would think would in turn make the law unconstitutional and would only get tied up in courts for many more years to come.
Sears checked all the "boxes" but she was a horrible candidate. She sank the whole ticket. I'm sorry but it's true.

The lady didnt take time to think about whether or not he was in a legal or non legal passing zone as she drove headfirst into traffic.
It wasnt part of her decision making process so you cant pretend she wouldve acted differently if it had been a legal passing zone.
Great info.
I find it difficult to draw conclusions about what was going on in her head based on what the "black box" says she was doing. People do weird things when placed in these snap decision scenarios. It seems alot comes down to what was going through her head and if her explanation holds up to scrutiny in court.
Thanks for sharing and explaining.

No. The DA report says she crashed to avoid the gold truck which was braking, not to avoid Lacy.
Fair. But wasn't the gold truck braking because of KL which would still make him carry a big portion of the blame?
I don't live in LA anymore but do remember the blame game plays out alittle different there. I much prefer reading actual reports myself than relying on pundits or attorneys to interpret for me.

A lot of frickery on both sides at the expense of KL….
The funyon hoe should be just as responsible as KL…..
Honest question. Are we trying to assert that funyon would have crashed even if KL had not been there? That seems to be the point of the defense and applying common sense doesn't make sense to me. I get that she wasn't paying attention etc etc but why would she turn into oncoming traffic if not pannicked by seeing a car speeding toward her head on. Honestly trying to understand.

And I'm sure there is still research out there that shows smoking doesn't cause lung cancer. That also doesn't mean we don't discourage it as a society in every way possible.
