So then my assumption would be 70 out of the 150 prob couldn't pass the drug test. Your 0.13 percent sounds closer to 50%.

Plus the remainder of the 80 who actually showed up for testing and failed. So, yeah, roughly 50% of welfare applicants are on drugs.

The only way to prove it is to test them all. None of this skipping the test bullshite. Guess who is skipping the tests.

I personally agree with rbwareagle and I think that is a great idea. I think you should lose a little freedom of choice when you are taking money. Especially if those choices are unhealthy. I don't see why it would be out of bounds to tell people they need to eat healthier if they want free food.

Disability IS the new welfare

You ain't lying. A friend on mine in Cali got knocked up and is now a single mom with no intentions of going back to work anytime soon. She claimed postpartum depression after the kid was born and then anxiety and gets $57,200 in disability a year all because of a doctors note. She also gets around $2000 a month in child support which brings her total income up to over $80,000 a year, not to mention the dad has to pay for all kinds of other crap like daycare and nannies, so she lives in an apartment a block from the beach and gets to just hang out with her kid all day while having to contribute nothing.

Not to derail the thread, but do SNAP recipients also receive subsidized grocery prices? I was at self checkout at Winn Dixie and the EBT total was a good $30 cheaper than if I paid with cash or debit credit.

U.S. District Judge Mary Scriven in Orlando originally declared the law requiring urine tests for the applicants to be an unconstitutional search and seizure, a ruling upheld by the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in December. Scriven and the appeals judges found no evidence of a pervasive drug problem among Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program applicants.

So are we not to hold anyone getting free shite accountable for anything ever again? So you are allowed to take government money and spend it on illegal activities and there is nothing the government can do about it. frick. That. shite!

Wow look at all the hand wringing and goal post shifting now that a huge racist based talking point is laid to rest. A great find.
