That drive is a breeze and most of that run is at 75 MPH, so set the cruise at 78 and go.
You should try HWY 165 and then you can deal with the speed traps in Woodworth, Forest Hill, Glenmora, Oakdale, Oberlin, Kinder....
All those pretty custom road signs in Woodworth weren't paid for by Woodworth tax payer $$.

Ive seen at least 12 state police officers drive by one behind the other…

Pump your brakes Karen, that is a common occurrence when troopers are headed back to their own troop from some type of training or conference in another troop area. Nothing sketchy about that.

Set the cruise and enjoy the road. Not that much traffic and it's a peaceful ride.

Sounds like LSP is doing their job.

WTF does LSP in NLA have to do with Baton Rouge shootings?

What does this even mean? You obviously don't know much about Desert Storm.

Yep, you were safer invading Iraq during desert storm than you would be walking north BR at night

Watch out in St Landry's parish. Popo wrote me a ticket there a few yrs back. My brother got one too.

Evangeline Parish now has a deputy out there as well in that little section that is marked for Evangeline. Previous sheriff was lazy and never collected fees and fines so they are now trying to make up lost revenue.

There is also a trooper in that area with a plain charger and ghost logos on it so you can't see that it is a trooper running radar.

Perhaps you should change your focus from a democratic governor dealing with a GOP controlled legislature and maybe ask the Legislature to start getting things done.
I do not know a single person who supports the idea of speed traps. Zero. Not even my buddies who are cops support them. Yet, they've been a thing all my life.

I'm not sure what it will take to eliminate strict enforcement of arbitrary speed limits, but I've accepted that it won't happen in my lifetime.

You could take Hwy 71, like I had to do for years.

You do understand that the LSP has a 10mph tolerance to allow for an incorrect speedometer don't you? If you purposely drive 9 miles over you are speeding. If your speedometer is off, it is on you.

Can you get one of those fancy stickers like Troop C(alligator wearing a trooper hat) has for making a donation.

If you saw 12 driving together...they are probably going to or from some type of training.
