What’s you baws’ method?

I put it in first and keep the clutch in. Roll at a crawl until it’s absolutely necessary I stop.

Bump it ahead with the clutch. Slip into neutral if sitting in same spot.

Idle clutch, let out clutch a bit to roll forward. Hate constantly hitting gas in first, stopping, hitting gas in first, rinse and repeat.

slip it neutral and coast whenever you can, shift back into whatever gear is appropriate for your current speed when you need it

my friend is a mechanic and he says that the whole "stick" thing started with men in a certain group so they could identify each other easily. as in "baw knows how to work a stick"

he says now that they don't have to live in secrecy anymore nobody drives a stick shift

That’s why I had to sell my Jeep. Drove me crazy trying to get to work in traffic holding my cigarette and a pop tart.

Can’t wait to feel what that’s like again -put a deposit on a manual today. Bye bye automatic family sedan.

I miss driving a manual transmission. How many newer car models come with manual transmission other than muscle cars?
