Truck sped up out of principle because car was being an absolute a-hole. He did nothing wrong, IMO.

I would, and have, done the same.

well you can..... Still waiting for you to quote the law.

Move over law in effect: slow left lane drivers could face fines

Mississippi's left lane law impacts all roads where traffic moves in the same direction in two or more lanes, including in municipalities."You must travel in the right hand lane unless you are passing, overtaking a vehicle or making a left hand turn,"

"What that does is it bottle necks everything behind them," Dykes said. "We've all been in those situations where we're driving and we think there must be a crash up ahead traffic has come to a crawl only to get forward in the pack and find out it's two people driving next to each other doing 10 miles below the speed limit."

The penalty for driving too slow in the left lane calls for a fine of up to $50, but Dykes said there will be some leeway. "If they were to explain to us that they were lost, or looking for a turn, or they weren't from here or their GPS was sending them this way then we would take that under consideration before any enforcement was done," said Dykes.

He was doing this. He was pretty clearly coming right up on the next vehicle to pass, he was traveling at a faster rate than the car ahead of him in the video.

ETA: I do see the quote you were referring to however, and it was a slightly different discussion

First gear, it's all right (Honda, Honda, go faster, faster)
Second gear, I'll lean right (Honda, Honda, go faster, faster)
Third gear, hang on tight (Honda, Honda, go faster, faster)
Faster, it's all right.

Ford F-150 Raptor that was in the far-left lane — traditionally the lane used for passing traffic.

I first wanted to mock whoever wrote this for feeling the need to explain what the left lane is for, but almost no one seems to know these days.

As a driver in Atlanta, I wish there is a hell specially reserved for "weavers" where they are eternally boxed in by slow moving traffic and can't do a damn thing about it.

This thread is full of law abiding citizens that think going 15 miles over the speed LIMIT is okay.

If everyone followed the limit then there would be no need to pass anyone because we’d all be going the same speed and stay the same distance away form each other.

The Ford should have GTFO the left lane and definitely sped up after blocking the left lane and helped cause this crash

Retarded take. Maybe you didn't read the article (ask the adult in your household to help you out) but it clearly stated the car's driver was reckless before the video was started. Nothing that F150 was doing forced the moron in the Accord to whip through traffic. Grow up.

regardless of the dumbass Accord driver, his defense attorney will dismantle the Raptor as he did escalate the situation. Is what it is. Raptor doesnt get down on it, the Accord doesnt crash.

As long as you are passing someone it doesn’t matter what speed you pass them at. If the person in front of you on the right side is going 60 and you are going 65 you can pass them in the left lane as long as you get back over in the right after you pass. The problem with people is they think they should be able to drive 85 in the left and everyone move the frick out of the way.

You’re no different!! That’s the mindset that influences these incidents. If you see someone coming up behind you, obviously much faster than you’re traveling, move the frick over. Yea, people are idiots when driving. Don’t exacerbate the situation, idiot.
