We have a HS senior this year and they are having a drive-through graduation. We are brainstorming ideas for a good way to participate. The school
suggested convertibles, sunroofs, etc. Bit we want
To make this as special as possible given the circumstances. Thinking about some sort of special vehicle we might be able to rent for the day that is open and would be fun and memorable. I would
Live to find something like a VW bus with the back cut off to be open air, or something like that. Any ideas?

Jeep. Trailer with a hot tub on it, pull a boat with your graduate on the boat or being pulled behind the boat on roller blades or a skateboard.
A semi-trailer flatbed with the graduates besties all spaced out 6 feet apart but "together" to the end.
Just some brainstorming.

Go all out and find someone with a parade float and decorate it

They have limos with hot tubs in the rear.

If you don't rent the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile you have failed miserably.

If it isn't a tandem float, it isn't worth the trouble.

Friend,
This probably would be cost prohibitive, but you never know on the OT. What about contacting RTA and seeing if they have an engineer who could retrofit a green streetcar with wheels and make it pavement operable. Can you imagine driving up to graduation in a St Charles Ave streetcar? Unforgettable and probably would make international news. I still have a replacement Meyers conductors hat, and would be honored to drive it if you so desire.

Friend,
Thank you for the idea. It pains me to inform you that we are in Baton Rouge, and alas, it is unlikely that RTA would provide a streetcar to us. Thanks for the kind offer of driving for us. You are a scholar and a gentleman.
Yours,
Wiseguy

East Baton Rouge Parish varies throughout.
Better safe than sorry.
