I honestly don’t think water has anything to do with it. The close friends and co-workers of mine that went though this all suck on those water jugs all day long. If you do searches on what causes kidney stones, you’ll get all kinds of different research data. I think it’s unknown or just random occurrences.

I'm glad I didn't have the kind of stent they remove in the doctor's office by pulling it out with a string sans anesthesia.
Last time I had a stone taken care of they left that stent in.
When the doctor removed the thing it was like a clown pulling an endless number of handkerchiefs out of his pocket.

Tap water depending on source can have a lot dissolved solids [calcium carbonate type stuff] and that is what gives you the stones.

Eating a lot of high oxalate foods can potentially do it as well
Yep…my Dr said my kidney stones were comprised primarily of calcium oxalates. The main culprit for me was drinking too much iced tea.

LEMONS. Need to have good amount of lemons in your diet. The lemons won't stop the Kidney stone from forming but it will strip the burs off which is what causes the pain.

Had similar experience. Don’t want no more.

It'd be nice if there was something to take to prevent them, for sure.
You need to increase your citrate intake.
That is why lemons are so good.

There's more value to drinking beer in relation to this subject than you might think.
Yep. My urologist told me to drink a beer or two every now and then to help with the kidney stones.

Kidney stones can occur at any age. Most occur between ages of 40-60. I had my 1st and so far only attack at 75. The risk of developing them reportly increases with age. Also, folks who developed one stone have a good likelihood of developing more kidney stones in their future. I have check ups and testing every 6 months with my urologist.

7mm is not huge. May be hard to pass on its own though. Why did they not just lithotripsy that thing.? It is the easiest way to blast a kidney stone without going to get it. Ihave had two and it worked like a charm.

I have heard of doctors prescribing like a single beer per day. Specifically unpasteurized beer for maximum benefit. More for overall renal health than stones specifically but of course the healthier the system the fewer the stones.
