Magnanni Sergio. $325.
These are a great looking pair of wingtips.

Seen those at Dillards. Nice.
What is the shoe size OP is looking for?

Why the downvotes? Because I mention a shoe that isn’t Johnston and Murphy or Allen Edmonds?
I own JM and AE shoes and am much happier with Magnanni. It’s a Spanish dress shoe company that most men have never even heard of in the US.
I just bought a pair of the Zeen in Mid Brown that are going to become a favorite pair. They look even better in person.

Aldo
Pretty cheap and a classic, good looking black dress shoe.

Because those shoes are ugly.
The ones in this post aren't bad though.

Hit up the Allen Edmonds Factory store in North Charleston, the have only factor seconds but you can't tell a difference
That’s because the 1sts are the same diminished quality as the 2nds.

Just as others said, go to the AE outlet in NC they will hook you up. I've bought black Fifh Avenues, brown McAllisters, chili Carlyles, oxblood Lake Forest loafers, and walnut Dalton boots from them without issues.
Don't get black loafers - loafers are inherently casual shoes and black is a formal color. If you want loafers, go for oxblood or some other brown variant.
If you need just one shoe, get black or dark brown Park Avenues. Personally, I love the Carlyle, which would be a great option in either black, brown, or oxblood. Oxblood is incredibly versatile color that can be worn with blues, grays, and charcoal.
Meermin looks nice, but haven't checked them out personally yet. Cole Haan is okay if you're just getting into the game but just don't get one of those dress/sneaker hybrids - their overall quality is meh but comfort is good.

That's why I said look for certain traits. Stitched sole over a glued sole for example.
I have a pair of CH. However, CH uses paper welts. It's cut back on quality as well. Dude gives shoe size, can look on shoebank real quick to see what Charleston has.

Need a new pair of black dress shoes (lace up or loafer). I'm open to suggestions.
Mezlan. Expensive, but in my opinion, the best dress shoe I own and that includes several pairs of Allen Edmonds and Magnanni.

What did he do? We need closure. There was time and emotion heavily invested in this thread.
On a side note, saw some Manganni's yesterday. Really sick. Chili color was gorgeous

Magnanni's make the best quality shoe for the price imo

I've bought a few pairs of Clarke's. They're super comfortable and have lasted me a good while.
I'll second the Clarks recommendation.

Johnston and Murphy Wingtip...I've had the same pair for 25 years...just keep them in shoe trees when not being worn and get them resoled every few years.

You can also go to the online shoe bank and call the stores and have them ship. Can buy from outlets all over the country that way.
AE quality is slipping but the most popular ones are still solid enough (Park Aves, Strands, etc.)

Any recommendations for brown shoes that are business casual? To wear with jeans or everyday office...

That can be a pretty wide range.
If you are talking about jeans, chinos, I would stick to a chunkier derby in a country grain. Something like this:
If you are talking about khakis, slacks, a more refined derby would work well. Something like this:
