Enjoy, OT

quote:

"“COVID-19 has shone a bright light on our own society’s failings,”

"Almost all relate to the social determinants of health dating back to disadvantageous conditions that some people of color find themselves in from birth regarding the availability of an adequate diet, access to health care and the undeniable effects of racism in our society.”

quote:

Fauci said that once society returns to “some form of normality,” people should not forget that infectious disease has disproportionally hospitalized and killed people of color.

What a visionary

Facts noted. Changes nothing about how health care should be managed.

I heard a lady getting upset in the Birmingham CostCo today. She was black and mad that Costco wasn’t requiring masks. She said she was still at risk and their decision was making her feel unsafe.

I imagine “still at risk” means that she’s chosen to not get vaccinated. She’s also chosen to go and stay in places that aren’t requiring masks.

Fauci says that’s a white person problem though. frickhead.

Do people who claim that racism is to blame for high covid death rates among blacks not realize how insulting that is to nurses and doctors on the frontline?

You are basically accusing medical providers of giving less care to blacks out of racist impulses.

In reality, blacks died at a higher rate than whites for the same reason louisiana whites died at a higher rate than Massachusetts whites.

horrible diets, obesity, lack of proper nutrition, etc.

Dr. Fauci can not comprehend this explanation, though. Because he is a progressive and an "expert", so any solution must require the govt and superior intellectuals to play a role. Preaching personal responsibility takes white knights like fauci out of the picture.

And, yes, I know I will be downvoted by cowardly posters like Fells who are too chicken to admit the blunt truth about their community, despite them growing up in it and witnessing the unhealthiness.

What's the deal with the black community and masks? I feel like they're still the strongest group of mask wearers

NBC over the pandemic did at least 30 stories on how the disease effected "POC". Look, we get it, but what the hell do you people to do? What are we supposed to do with that information? Does money make people immune to covid or obesity?

So what Fauci is saying here is black people cant even properly feed or care for themselves. The saddest part of it all is millions of blacks apparently agree with him because they support him and the democrats.

No one is forced to buy unhealthy foods. Completely laughable that we're blaming society on what one chooses to eat.

Tony Fauci has been the director of the NIAID since 1984 and been the person to plan for pandemics and the nations response for that time.

So I ask. Why Tony did you not account for this in the near 40 years you have been in position to do something about it?

I've found vegetables to be pretty affordable personally. But, I am white so maybe that's why.

Replace color with Low income then he may have a point. Its not because they are black. Its because said people are likely poor and don’t have resources. The race part is 100% bull shite
