Doordash driver devours Dickey's meat

The convenience of ordering food to your doorstep with the tap of a finger can be tempting -- but it can also come with issues. Chris Payton of York County says he ordered food from Dickey’s Barbecue in West Manchester Township using DoorDash -- a food delivery app that sends its own drivers to pick up orders from restaurants, delivering it right to your door. After the driver dropped off his food, he says he opened up the box and discovered half of it had been eaten. Two of the six ribs he ordered were gone and what appeared to be bite marks were left behind. “I was just dumbfounded I was really shocked that something like that would happen," said Chris Payton of York County.

I wish we had a picture of the driver. Something about loving ribs makes me want to see this beast.

I drove for DoorDash in between jobs a few months ago and still occasionally do it. Never once was I tempted to eat a customer’s food.
I will say, the occasional bad order in which the customer never answered the door or phone was nice.

On something like this, one strike should be enough

Ever try riding around with cooked ribs in your car and not taking a bite?

One time they gave us the wrong order. We had ordered something like chicken and beef but we got 4 meals, two were steak and the other one was shrimp. It was awesome. They even refunded us our entire meal. We are the other stuff for leftovers for 2-3 days there was so much extra.

Food is as powerful a drug to some folks as is heroin.

I am just thinking this: how easy would it be to become a driver for doordash, waitr, etc just long enough to get the company tee shirt then just walk into restaurants saying you are there to pick up an order and see if they give you someone else's food for free?

Every meal I have had delivered by Uber or other company was stapled shut.
I've never had an issue, but this would piss me off beyond belief.

They ask for names. And I've usually seen them ask to verify the order.
Good luck with your endeavors.

I would never do it; I was just saying. After working in restaurants for years, people will try damn near anything to get food for free.
I've definitely been sitting in restaurants, saw an Uber drive walk to the bar and a bartender handover the food without a word exchanged.

I mean eating the food you are supposed to deliver doesn't seem like a 3 strikes and you're out kind of thing.
1st offense should be termination.

Door dash dude did him a favor saying him from the suck that is Dickey’s BBQ

This is why you don't have your food delivered.
