Doorbell doesn't ring anymore, but the button outside is still lit up. Any ideas?

Do you have a multimeter?
I'll start with this. It is easier and cheaper to buy a wireless transmitter doorbell than it is to fix a 24v door bell.
A lot of times the transformer goes bad, and no longer sends the voltage out. Or the chime inside breaks.
You could get a wireless one for $20.
Check the plungers on the solenoids in the chime and make sure they move freely.
If you have a meter you could measure the leads for 24v AC while someone holds the doorbell.

Your transformer is kaput. Buy a new door bell unit and change it out.
It's low voltage. Don't worry bout no lectricity.

Sounds like the door and the bell aren't making a correct connection, buy a new door and it should be good as new

I had one that was in a crawl space hidden. If I didn't have a tone trace tool I would have never found it.

Great blues song title.

I'd rather replace it for $20 than do all that nonsense.
