We were walking my dog one time on the street and he veered into someone’s yard and just Hershey squirted everywhere. There were people nearby watching the whole thing. I did the best I could picking it up but I may as well have been trying to pick up soup off the ground. All that to say it’s not always possible to control where your dog shits, and if she picks it up you are not being a good neighbor by making a big deal about it

You never know when activity such as that deter a porch pirate or other thief.
Plus dogs do dog things who knows why he dragged her there. She did pick it up. I do the same thing... when I go into a house for the first time I shite in it, the toilet, to leave my mark.
As additional security that's that dog's yard now. He'll be barking if a stranger shows up.
