simply not true. i have used it and never paid anywhere near double menu price. And plenty of restaurants charge fees for pick up now.

I ordered pizza hut a few times and they used dd for delivery instead of their own drivers and there was no extra charge.

I use Grubhub. I get GH+ with my Prime membership, so the fees are much lower. The value in these services is when you are getting bulk or higher end delivered. People who use it for Chick-fil-a or McD's are the ones that need to reassess their priorities.

I'm fascinated by this. Not only are the people ordering shitty (expensive) fast food but they are paying to have it delivered to them. Soggy and colder than if they had just gone to get it themselves.

My understanding of the world today is disappearing.

Some in here would call you lazy for not making you're own pizza. Others may value time over money. Only weirdos care abt how others spend their earned salary.

I plan and cook too. You know you can control what you order so whether its healthy or not is completely up to the consumer?

And its way more efficient to order something and have it delivered than waste 20-40 minutes driving. So I use it when I dont have time in my day to just drive around for no reason. Its inefficient for me to waste that time and I dont have a problem paying accordingly.

Unfortunately the drivers tend to not be the best quality. My favorite is when they are picking up orders at my place, smelling of weed, with kids in the car

If you are paying more than restaurant price for food that is often out of the kitchen twenty minutes to an hour or more before it gets to your house, it is a waste of money. Almost as much a waste as Goldbelly
I’m not going to defend frequently getting food delivered but it’s not this bad, especially if you live in a city

Having a minority bring you some Chinese or Greek food on a cold, rainy Sunday afternoon is pretty great

I had people ordering delivery at my place 3-5x a week. Fried food, in a box, and getting it an hour later was a head scratcher for me. Appreciated the business though

I think I am legitimately on a 30 day streak of door dashing.

Pretty sure they’ve assigned me a personal agent/rep at this point. Best service ever, get way more work done not having to leave and deal with shitty BR traffic

Certain foods travel better. But most things do not, And 30 to 60 minutes is a lot with most food as to quality.

This. If I can’t go get it, I don’t buy it.
