Thats just something that came up after the fact. The initial outrage was purely for what appeared to be anti BLM

This song is a cultural anthem and perfectly describes my upbringing in Youngsville.

*raises hand*

With the uncontrolled and rampant violence committed in urban areas… why do you limp wrists not have any objections to rap music that glorifies violence, killing, aggravated assault, vandalism, gang alliances, drug use, etc?

Clear, concise, well thought out answers please.

So if it was chosen for that particular reason it was pretty much a wasted idea. That is until “outraged” people brought it to everyone’s attention.
It's kind of like an Easter Egg.

It is far more likely the courthouse in the video was there to simply represent “law and order”.
Law and order? The song is not about law and order. It's about vigilantism:
quote:

Try that in a small town
See how far ya make it down the road
Around here, we take care of our own
You cross that line, it won't take long
For you to find out, I recommend you don't

Sure they are. Ferguson is less than 7 sq miles and has less than 20k residents and it happened there.

Don’t be obtuse bro. Ferguson is part of the Greater St. Louis Metropolitan area.

But seriously, even if you don’t like the song, there’s no point getting mad at Aldean. He’s just singing what his handlers tell him to sing.

The fact that he’s a big deal in country shows you how fake the whole genre has become. A group of 10 people write songs and find people to sing them. I see how that works with Morgan Wallen or Luke Bryan. They’re charismatic, at least. Jason Aldean is the most awkward, uncharismatic guy I’ve ever seen. Its like they just parked outside a Buffalo Wild Wings and picked the first guy who walked out in a neon shirt.

Vigilantism is cool. It’s awesome. It’s celebrated. At least since the implementation of “gangsta rap” in the 80’s.

What’s wrong with vigilantism?? Does this need to be censored over ALL music genres?

Is Paquemine Parish not part of greater NOLA?

While civilian justice and what Aldean speaks about CAN happen in a small town, it's not FACT that it will.

It's not a difficult subject to comprehend.

Aldean is not up there speaking facts or some sort of prophet...he's giving his opinion of small town southern life AND THATS OKAY.

Sure you do. Your programming tells you to overlook it apparently.

What’s your problem with vigilantism again. It’s been in rap since the 80’s.

Surely you want mass anger at the rap industry since you are now informed of it? Right? You angrily venturing over to other forums that glorify rap beating on that music?

Where was your outrage at the 2022 BET song of the year I posted? You have none? Why?

Don’t pull the “I don’t care for that either” card. You have spent pages trying to “educate” people.

Well educate us why vigilantism, violence, killing, gang glorification, drug use, gun violence, etc is just fine and dandy by the left? It’s given awards? When it comes from rap music?

Cmon. Education time. Educate us.

Cmon.. you self professed to not like the Andean song either.. but here you are. Page after page.

Educate us professor.

You keep harping on this court house and its history as proof this song and video are racist. Are you contending this court house was chosen specifically because of its history? If so, what evidence do you have to support this assertion?

Reading thru the responses just proves how indoctrinated lefties are. No substance, only feelings. It ain't that good of a song, but the video is outstanding.

Complete. Sheltered. Programmed drones. They are told what to dislike and they comply. They are told what to overlook and they comply. They are told what is bad and they comply. They are told what is acceptable and they comply. They are told what to say and they comply.

They are devoid of rational thought and free thinking skills. They get their orders.. and they obey.

Meanwhile.. while they just repeat what they have been told and demanded of them to spread.. they try to play the “educated” card. Same pathetic weaklings that have to call someone to change a tire.

ADDED: look at our smartest guy in the room folks… he just was notified of something his programming failed to and he had to exit the thread and scram. Off to somewhere else to prove his superior debate skills and education.
