I pay, on average, 5-8$ a year on blades for my razor...

I get the basic 4 blade razors and they are great. The shave butter is awesome as well. I recommend the dollar shave club to everyone that asks me about it.

I hate, absolutely hate overpaying for stuff and in my opinion, razor refills are the most overpriced thing on the planet. Prices may have come down since dollar shave club came out to combat the absurdity, but I don't know, I haven't bought a store refill/razor in over 2 years.

In summary, dollar shave club is the best thing that ever happened to me, even better than my average wife and two average children.

LOL

Look up DSC and see how long it takes for you to get a pop-up from a shave site? It starts with better products like better creams and aftershaves, and pre and post shave products. When I realized how right they were about those products, I got to thinking about safety razors. Been over a year and a half now.

Love it

Especially love it because I can cut it off for a month at a time. I have razors stacked from them

It's just shaving. Ive been using freakin bar soap as my "shaving cream" for the last week because I keep forgetting to pick up another can of barbasol and I shave my head and face everyday. Why some guys use "creams and aftershaves, and pre and post shave products" is beyond me. Are you some sort of a woman or something?

How much did you spend on your safety razor handle?

Been doing it for over a year. Very pleased. I do the every other month shipment. Their shave butter is great, and I highly recommend the One Wipe Charlies.

Harrys is better, but I still have a DSC subscription I'll probably cancel soon. DSC is fine.

After reading all the hype about DSC, I decided to give it a try. The shave butter is nice, but I wasn't impressed with the actual blades. I got the 4x and it tears my face up. I may switch to the Executive and see how that works. After that I'll probably cancel my subscription

Love it, I only shave about twice a week, the wife and I both have handles and we have no complaints. I don't use the shave butter because I like a lather.

Switch to disposable and stop using shaving cream. Your face and your pocket book will thank you.

I made the switch several years ago thanks to this article and I've never looked back.

It never occurs to this child — so innocent, so naïve, so trusting — that he or she has been hooked into a lifetime of shaving hell. That foam, that sweet looking puff of magic, is in fact the great enemy of a good shave — black magic that relies on perpetuating dependency and ignorance.

The problem is this. Shaving cream does something evil to the skin. It somehow weakens the pores and makes the top layer mushy and unresponsive. The kid comes to believe that somehow the foam is essential to the experience. Without it, surely the razor would leave a trail of blood.

I used the 4 and 6 blade razors and the shave isn't as good as a proglide. Sure they're cheaper but I can stretch a proglide blade to a month and still get a good shave so the savings isn't enough for me to deal with what I feel like is a subpar shave.

I agree for the most part. After using the 4 blade I still have to go back over my face with the proglide to touch up

I just joined. In fact got an email saying my order just shipped. I bought it simply because of cost savings.
