I’ve got no issue with a very well tied up bag being put in my can if it helps them not leave it in my yard
But people with little dogs seem to think that small piles of poop don’t count, which drives me crazy

I don't put poop in people's cans. I do leave it bagged under a tree or by a post and get it on the way back, though.

Going to assume that this is only being done in the event that trash day is coming up and the trash can is being left on curb for next day pickup, NOT just walking into someone's property and finding a dumpster to throw into, which a lot of people somehow came up with that idea.

What is worse than what the OP posed, is the idiot who actually picks up their dog poop and then leaves the filled bag on the sidewalk or the street. And no, I am not kidding. Complete dumbasses who think they should pick up after their dog but somehow think the bag of poop will miraculously take care of itself afterwards.

I never really thought about it before, but I'm sitting in my front room and I saw my neighbor stop in front of my house to let his dog piss in my yard. Waste Management empties our cans by reaching in and pulling individual garbage bags out - but they’re not reaching down to the bottom to pick out loose items or those tiny poop bags. So those sit in there and bake. Smell is awful.
