My dog started doing that. Took it to the vet for routine check up and didn't think it was important as it was regular urine. Thought he was just drinking too much water. Couple months later he got real sick. His pancreas had failed and had to put him down. I told the vet about the peeing and she said that was a sign that he had the diabeetus which is which caused all this. If we had caught it earlier probably could have saved him but would have needed to give him insulin shots twice a day. Yes he was a fat baw. About to starve to death when he showed up in my yard and he was about 35.0 pounds as he never stopped eating once he found a home. Maybe one day they will make a fat shot for dogs

It's because you are a Nebraska fan.

Seriously, though, best of luck with your dog's health.

Take the dog to the vet dumbass

This, but in a nicer tone. Could be an infection, kidneys, mass in the organ area (god forbid but have been there), or simply behavior response.

Might as well get him checked out to rule out

Happened to one of my dogs. Go to the vet tomorrow. in my case it was kidney failure and it deteriorated rapidly.

Brought my girl pup in assuming UTI and it was much worse unfortunately.

Honestly, no predicting so vet to get peace of mind imo. Dog may just be pissed off

This means that your dog correctly senses the presence of an evil spirit, or at least a spectral apparition masquerading as a benevolent being.
Either that, or he's just sick.

If you don't have a dog in your house you don't have to worry about a dog peeing dark yellow disgusting rancid pee all over your house. And you don't have dog hair everywhere and your house doesn't smell like a fricking dog. Something you may want to consider..

If my friends are any indication, your dog could just be drunk.

He needs to see a vet. Sounds like kidney issues

So my 8 year old Huskie Australian Shepherd mix started peeing in the house a few weeks ago after I had a friend watch him for a weekend while I was out of town. Not sure if him getting into cat food would have something to do with it. But I put a stop to it about 2 weeks ago and now today I left the house for maybe and hour and he pissed all over ny TV stand. Its trashed and ill probably toss it now. His piss smell absolutely rancid. Its dark yellow and the stink clings to everything. I dont know why this is happening. Hes never done this before and im at my wits end with this. Its disgusting.

I mean this in the most serious way. Make 100% sure this is a UTI. What you’re describing was the first symptom my dog had which was eventually bladder cancer. Vets were stumped for 6 months because they weren’t looking for cancer because my dog was also only 8.

We were in & out of the vet for months trying to figure out what was wrong in the early stages. Every time they kept saying UTI. A lot of these cancers appear like a UTI or kidney infection on the outside and it’s really much worse than it appears.

I always return to these threads with trepidation. I am hoping they sent him home with a course of amoxicillin, ampicillin, or cephalexin, and Rover will be fine.

Probably UTI & needs an antibiotic

It’s probably from letting other dogs drop loads in his pee hole.

Doesn't quite fit UTI symptoms, IMO, but I hope I'm wrong
