Dog kills 4 year old boy in AL.

This time in Hartselle, AL.
MORGAN COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) says a child has died after they were bitten by a dog near Oak Ridge on Monday.
Sheriff’s deputies and EMS responded to a medical emergency on Ramblewood Private Drive off Vaughn Bridge Road, about five miles west of Hartselle, around 6 p.m.
AirEvac was called to the scene when the sheriff’s office said a child was in critical condition after being bitten by a pit bull. The dog had to be put down at the scene.
Around 8:30 p.m. Monday, MCSO confirmed to News 19 that the child had died as a result of their injuries.
*** Edit: it’s now being reported that the dog was an Olde English Bulldog.

The article said the child was bitten. I would say it got a little more than bitten to die of injuries. Unless the dog got it by the throat. Poor kid. When will we ever ban people from owning those damn dogs???

Anyone who owns a pit bull is stupid IMO. Anyone who owns a pit bull that will be around children are super stupid… you can get a much better dog gif your protection…..

Unpossible! The good people of Hartselle would never stoop so low as to own such a nasty beast. They're better than that. Much, much better than that.
ETA: They'd say that isn't Hartselle and try to give it to Danville, but if they annexed it, they have to claim it.

My wife’s niece owns one. No matter how many of these stories we see, she swears up and down her dog is a sweet, good natured big puppy. She doesn’t like it when I point out that in most of these stories the dog was a sweet, good natured big puppy right up until the moment it suddenly wasn’t. Thankfully she doesn’t have any children.

I don't have any problems with people owning pits. I just think that they should be held criminally responsible for anything the animal does.
Your dog bites someone? You should be charged with aggravated assault.
Your dog kills someone? You should be charged with at least 2nd degree murder.

Also said they tried a medivac so they were likely really torn up by the dog.
