Arnie, my beagle, could get out of the fence when he was less than 6 months old without us knowing. He would go visit other houses. We didn't realize this until he snuck through a neighbor's doggy door and jumped in bed with the old man and woman.

Which puppy did you adopt from a poster here? I love when these things happen.

Do you remember the parvo puppies? The OT covered the whole medical bill for the good merits and who is trying to help the letter. I want to say one of the puppies names was pudgy.

the parvo puppies was a TD classic, I do hope they all have/had good lives.

I gave one of our strays to No Colors, she’s a sweet yellow lab that has had an amazing life with him. She lived with us for about 6 months and I had to have a clearance sale

this. Currently have nine dogs that have shown up over the last few years and every one of them has been a great pet. Spend a lot on dog food, but they've been worth every penny. Come to think of it, I haven't had a bad experience with any of the strays I've taken in over the years. Guess I'm lucky at something.

I'm not even a real big dog person, but if that dog with that look on the left pic walked into my house, I'm keeping him/her.

I mean good on him for taking in the dog but dude can't even take care of his family.

Door wide open in the middle of the city, he needs help, not the dog
the OT never stops being judgemental.

everyone on here is perfect 100% of the time and never leaves a door ajar, leaves a shite stain on toilet paper or drops their cellphone.

must be great being that perfect

I have a soft heart for dogs and now, even cats. My wife was surprised I ever developed a soft heart for cats too, since I used to hate them. Now when I walk one of my dogs, I usually have a couple of cats follow me too!

The only animal I rescued was a kitten. Kids saw a kitten when we were driving by a house construction site Christmas eve day, in the cold rain, 13 years ago. We went back later, I got out in the rain and dug that hissing @4 week old abandoned kitten out from under a wood pile. Hand fed it for weeks.
It hates everyone except my wife. She is the only one that can get near it. When we got a new dog 7 years ago, it disappeared. Three years later, cat showed back up. It still darts away or scratches everyone except my wife, contributing nothing. Had to get another cat for lizard and mouse perimeter patrol.

I hear you man - we had a 1 month old kitten show up on our patio with a bot fly wound on her neck, horribly dehydrated and super hungry. didn't hesitate, took her to the vet and got her treated, and she became a spoiled house cat.

fast forward a month later, my niece picked up a couple week old black cat that ran across the highway in front of her. she works for a vet, so she took him in and got him treated and food, and called us to see if we were interested in fostering him.....to which we said no, we would just give him a good home.

both have been amazing rescues.
