Was 11 years old and really started to struggle last night. Woke up and he was laying at the foot of the bed. Said bye to him at 2AM cause I wasn't sure he would make it through the night.

How do u cope with this. I am a wreck

It's hard, man. One of the hardest things. Eventually the pain will fade and you will remember only the good things. Hang in there.

I have a 15 year old dachshund. Hard to believe I was 12 when we first brought her home.

Sucks, man. Don't worry about being a wreck. No real dog lover handles it any different.

Hardest thing to do is picking up his toys and putting them away.

Only time makes it better, but if you're struggling, may need to look into getting a new dog.

It might help to go through your favorite pictures of him. I wish dogs lived as long as we do. Sorry for your loss.

My cat died about a month ago, was almost 12. The first week is rough, house feels empty. It's gotten better, but I still think about him everyday.

Our dog is visibly bummed out as well. After he passes, I think we're taking some time off pets. Losing them sucks.

Sorry to hear that man. It's gonna take some time and then some. Just when you think you're over them you put on your favorite sweater and find dog hair on it
