No pain like it. I lost two in six months last year. Everyone is different but I adopted another one and it helped but you will miss your guy a long time. So sorry. You obviously gave him him a lot of love.

No matter what we all say to confort you, it is still a very difficult time. I had my 11 year old Dachshund with kidney disease put to sleep in September. The next day, I located a 3 day old puppy. I got him when he was 8 weeks and he will be 6 months old tomorrow. He is my fourth Dachshund in 39 years and it has been hard losing all of them. Getting that new puppy seems to help me. I hope you can get another dog and get that special attachment again. Good luck.

Sorry to hear. Get a new puppy from a shelter. It helps when you have to care for another buddy.
