Does the state of Louisiana require your car windows to be operational

Say my front two windows mysteriously broke in the down position. Will this result in a fail?
Looked through some of the statutes but couldn't find a clear answer

Turn off the child lock.
And fwiw, I've never seen them check the windows.

Does the state of Louisiana require you to
have functioning windows on your vehicle to pass inspection?

My fishing truck has a window permanently in the down position. It's never been a problem, but I take it to an ol' boy who just makes sure the lights and turn signals are working.

They seem to be sticklers for detail in urban areas. Most stations in rural areas don't give a chit as long as they know, you, especially if you do business with them on the regular.

BR was pretty tough for finding lenient inspectors. My current car came from the dealer with tint that apparently isn't legal in LA (bought it in TX and they apparently have more lax requirements). Couldn't get it done in BR, but found a few places in the NOLA area that were more than happy to give a brand new car an inspection sticker

Find you a place that doesn't care. Place I go is only worried about if I have the paperwork. I got my jeep done with no doors last week.

Is it a mid-2000s Jeep? That's a common problem for them. Sucks man good luck.
