I was coming to post the same link with a very similar subject line.
I don't believe Cortana will be here by summer of 2018...

I hope Dillard's clearance finds a new home!
I invite them to come to Juban Crossing. They can take Kohls old building.

In recent weeks, The Limited, Lenscrafters and Gordon’s Jewelers have all closed their Cortana locations, and Foot Locker is moving out in March, mall management confirms. In early 2016, Cortana also lost Macy’s. With the closure of Sears, it will be down to just two retail anchor tenants—a Dillard’s discount store and J.C. Penney.

The owners paid almost nothing for it. Something makes me think it was only $6m.
As long as they are partially full, they can make the numbers work. It will end up housing schools and business offices.

They made good use of the old Bon Marche mall. Hope they can do the same to Cortana.

The Sterling riots will be the final nail in this coffin of a dead mall

A mall isn't officially dead until GNC leaves.

They can turn it around if they really want to. We had two malls in Houston, West Oaks Mall and the Marq-E that were worse off than Cortana and investors turned them completely around. Marq-E is probably the most popular area here other than the Galleria and West Oaks actually brought in a profit over the last two years.

No, Cortana's problem isn't the mall itself, it's the location, and there's no turning that around.

It's essentially been gone for years now. Sad, I remember many nights spent there back in the day.

Exactly, even the "people" that live around there now won't go unless they are there to shoplift.

I've seen malls survive with less.

My bet is that new businesses that have nothing to do with the mall begin to open in the spaces that used to be stores
