Looks like the organizers have no intention of cancelling, but I have a feeling that SWB and the local government will put their foot down and force their hand pretty soon, in the name of public health. They can revoke permits, police presence, and a whole bunch of shite that will cancel it for them.

I feel like with the quarantined professor in LSU, it’s just bound to happen. Trump said to not have large social events at the moment.

You downer. A standard rain shower could “frick up traffic on the interstate” in EBRP.

I really hope it does roll and feel like the media is just scaring the shite out of everyone. But from what I can tell, it seems this is one of the only events around not cancelled yet. No way Broome lets it IMO. It will be a political decision for her with the upcoming election.
With that being said. That’s a huge impact on many of those businesses and employees. She needs to keep that in mind.

If any confirmed cases hit the direct area, their hands will be forced with all the heat from outside forces.. I don’t think Broome wants to any part of shutting it down unless hands forced, to many players involved..

She is meeting with medical advisors tonight. Press conference schedule in the AM with gov and Surgeon General (this was already planned). I’m betting she announces the cancellation tomorrow with the Surgeon General by her side.

I’m with most people in that the reactions and cancelling shite is stupid. But you gotta think, she is fricked either way. Cancel it and really screw over tons of people who have money invested as well as the local business and economic impact on the employees at the businesses...

Or

Hypothetically there are four cases on Friday, parade goes on, and by Wednesday of the next week, 100 cases. She would look like a idiot there too. So in this situation I actually cut some slack. At least as of now she isn’t a hypocrite like Destroya

No way this rolls. Too much liability now. Everything under the sun is being canceled. Look at the nba tonight. Ur setting urself up for a law suit knowing what happened tonight. It’s my bday too!!! I was looking forward to Saturday.

I think they will wait till Friday but LA cases have consistently doubled since Monday. Can’t risk those Nola ppl coming to BR since their shite was canceled
