Does BR cancel the parade? I say yes

The parade is ‘for profit’. I wouldn’t expect the organizers to voluntarily cancel it. However the decision could be out of their control.

When NO canceled, I'm pretty sure it doomed BR's.

any event that cancels at this point is childish and simply reacting to the collective group think, bandwagon mentality that they have been FORCED into.

there is absolutely nothing to be afraid of. is this virus scary? sure it is .... it's also scary to get struck by lightning. grow up people.

Yes. And likely Jazzfest and a variety of others. Billy Nungesser is selling the drama and has shown panicked concern. That won't help anyone's cause.

I do not think SWB wants a parade canceled by any means. She needs all the help she can get. But as another poster said, collective know it alls are going to do the bidding.

Are other parades not for profit? How is this one different?

No way they cancel the parade without some major kicking and screaming. This parade is a huge financial windfall for shingleton and his terrible wife. $$ is the whole reason the shingleton and Hammett family’s had a falling out over the parade and Hammett is no longer involved. Pat is pitching to the city not to cancel it for “ how good” it is for the community.

Lot of St. George backers typically at that parade. She may plant a Coronavirus patient throwing beads.

It sounds like I can put you down for SWB canceling it then.

It’s a mix. For example, Spanish town is a non profit. They donate all the money they make.

I normally go, but my whole group of friends is sitting this year out and the friend's house on the route where we normally go is not hosting a party. It's gonna be a bummer to see.
