It happened once after a lot of drinking and being up like 30+ hours. Bad combo.

I do it sometimes when I drink a lot. Nothing like what you described, but I have gone out my bedroom door to the screened in porch and pissed out the screen door and I did the same thing once at the beach.

Usually happens when I fall asleep and wake up/get up to piss, within the first 30-60 minutes. I might not even feel drunk when I went to bed, but it is like I am blackout drunk/ just sleep walking. I’ll wake up sometimes but not all the time. I haven’t done anything extremely stupid yet though.
I have a buddy that was bad about sleepwalking. He woke up one morning with his pillows in the oven, dressed in camo, and a gun out of his safe. Hell, he got in a fight one night with a deer mount on the wall at my camp. He hardly ever drinks though.

I'd be figuring out a way to put another added lock onto that safe that only your wife knows, until you stop doing that.

I used to sleepwalk real bad. Woke up once locked outside of my hotel. Scared the shite out of me had no idea what was going on

Didn't have anything to drink that night so it wasn't booze that caused it

I don’t, but a good friend of mine does. Sleepwalking is bad enough, but it can be a bit dangerous when he does. He’s a national level strongman competitor. He’s broken some things in his house. He uses melatonin to help him stay in bed during the night.

I used to sleepwalk a bunch. It was sort of a phase my body went through from about 23-30 years old. Then all of a sudden, it stopped mostly.

The worst time was when I was staying at a hotel for work in BR and I sleepwalked naked outside my room and pissed all over the carpet near the ice machine. I woke up mid piss and that was pretty terrifying. Getting a new key to get back into my room was quite a task.

I have a friend who still gets occasional night terrors. He also sleep walks/sleep talks. So much so, that I've told he and his wife that they really should not get a pistol or at the very least have it locked in a safe where he doesn't know the combo or know where the failsafe key is.

It's crazy. I've seen the guy bust down a set of stairs and bolt out of the door because he was dreaming he was being chased.

I started sleepwalking occasionally about 5 years back. It happens about once a month or so; I don't drink or take any medications so I saw a Neurologist who said it wasn't anything to worry about.

Mrs. Cotten said she can blatantly tell when I'm sleepwalking; she says my eyes are the giveaway because they're open but it's like I'm just staring through everything without focusing. I apparently talk/attempt to hold a conversation but nothing makes sense whatsoever. I do random shite like try to make coffee but wake up to coffee grinds all over the floor and like the coffee filter in the freezer and random shite like that.

My son did when he was about 4 and 5 years old. He would wake up to use the bathroom and never make it to there or back to his room. He usually did this between 10 and 11 at night.
Once he opened the hall close where the vacuum and A/C filters are kept and pissed on the floor. Once he never made it back to his room and we couldn't find him anywhere to the point of being scared. I ended up finding him sleeping on the back seat of the car in the garage.
He grew out of that in about two years.
