I noticed IBM has some interesting jobs in IT and programming. However, I am having some difficulty locating the hiring managers for different work sites.

Do any of you know how the hiring process operates with IBM?

EDIT: Wow, so it is as bad as I thought. It seemed strange that so many positions are offered monthly, yet the job offer rate was rather low.

How about Centurylink or the other utility companies. And of course, are any plants hiring (it looked very bad during gas price decline)

I imagine most companies want it that way.

All you can do is apply off the global website.

2nd option would be to bring some doughnuts to the building downtown and try to get past security to try and speak with them in person

If you dont have a 3.9 or 4.0 don't try. They are def one of those companies that hire on GPA...

Better have tons of experience

Compared to what, The Advocate's IT department?
Glassdoor IBM interview questions

ETA: it does indeed look like a difficult and thorough hiring process. I underestimated it initially because not many folks want to work at the one near me in Longmont, but that is mainly due to a great start-up scene

Knew a guy who got an offer from IBM. He's damn near a genius and even then the process took a loooooooooong time.

So long he used the offer to leverage more salary with the job he took while waiting.

They aren't hiring anyone until the decision on Alton Sterling is released.

If you're in IT and you're not moving every 2-3 years you're dumb.

I know you dont think much of SUBR. For whatever its worth, I learned most of my programming skills in C++ and other object oriented languages from Louisiana Tech.
