I'm in one in April, but I have to do it because I'm the groom.

Just had my bachelor party last weekend. Originally, it was going to be me, my brother, my dad, and two of my best friends. My dad had to back out because my mom was having surgery. My friend backed out because he got a DUI and couldn't afford to go anymore. Once my dad and friend dropped out, my brother bailed. So, my bachelor party weekend just ended up being me and my friend going to Universal Studios and doing some other attractions around Orlando. It was still fun, but would have enjoyed it a little more if more people came.

Weddings are a dog and pony show for the most part. And a waste after the divorce has went thru

Call me miserable, downvote me- IDGAF.

Between all the unnecessary parties/showers, overpriced tuxedo rental companies, travel, hotels, and other bullshite pageantry of today’s weddings, I’d rather never be in one again. The only redeeming part of them is the bachelor party, which I usually end up blowing too much money on anyway.

Only one scenario warrants your little pussy fit, OP.

If you're wife or sig other is the real friend of the couple and you're thrown in the groom's party as filler.
That was a rather awkward weekend spent with a bunch of dudes I didn't hardly know and they were not exactly the Hookers and Blow type. More of Hooters and haircuts guys. The wedding at the end was least painful.

i was in about 15 weddings from 19-27. haven't been asked to be in one since and it's been fantastic. now i just go and drink.

good thing about Baptists is that they get married young. Bad thing is no booze at the weddings.

You had to pay for your own tuxedo rental?

That's why I didn't invite anybody to be in my wedding. Didn't want to force someone to spend money for me.

A secret for all you nola, br, north shore guys. Perlis standard black tux and shoe rental is only $110.

One of the problems with being in weddings is the tuxedo issue. You can spend anywhere from 200-400 for a decent tux rental.

I was in my sister's wedding a few months ago, and the groom picked out suits for us to purchase. These were really nice, blue suits that can be worn for different occasions. They were $600 suits at Mens Wearhouse and on a BOGO sale at the time we got them. Everyone spent about the same (maybe a negligible amount more) on a suit that we got to keep versus a one-time tux rental. We looked much better than we did for my wedding where we had tuxedos.

Yea. Stay the f away from Men’s Warehouse for rentals. Crap quality suits that are overpriced.

About the only thing I’ve gone to Perlis for in the last several years is their tux / tails rentals. Surprisingly good deal for how overpriced their shite is. Unfortunately the traditional tux has taken a back seat to these douchey “modern slim fit” styles that cost a fortune.

If you’re required to wear standard tux for all 4 I would buy one.

Another thing that social media has made even worse. From the outlandish proposal to the photography to all the parties/showers that the other women on Facebook all have. Last wedding I was in they hired some dude to make a movie about it. The bride was seeing other dicks by the time the videographer finished it.

The worst part of the wedding is the photographer. You spend so much time pretending to have fun for fricking Instagram, instead of actually having a good time. You’re right, it is a dog and pony show. It’s all a show, that most of the time the couple really can’t afford.

What the frick do I care if it’s for one night? Perlis’ tuxedos don’t look like that if you get the right size for yourself numb nuts.
