I've done quite a bit of work at the paper mill there. Not my favorite place to visit.

Matty Ott on the Greenville team for a few minutes. I had on my LSU cap. He asked me where I was from. When I told him Bogalusa, he said, "Shouldn't you be wearing a BAMA cap?

He thought you said Tuscaloosa

I know where it is and what it smells like... I went to Ben's Ford Christian Academy (commuted from Abita).

Been there, the basketball team was required to wear pants and the girls team, Long Skorts. Didn't remember that it was in Bogalusa, thought it was in Mississippi

Bogalusa heart study is pretty fascinating tracking patients from childhood to adulthood for the last 50 years

Sitting in my office inside the IP Bogalusa Paper Mill right now. I have been sitting in the chair since April 2015.

I’ve been through there as a kid. As an adult, I’ve only been close enough to smell it while working out east of Franklinton. Joke among us old Baton Rouge telephone guys comparing how far we had to travel on a particular day was “far enough to smell Bogalusa.”

Yes. Wife has family in Franklinton.

Also, parents had good friends in Columbia, MS and we used to drive the back way through Bogalusa in the 80’s

My dad's side of the family is from Angie and my dad played basketball at Bogalusa High in the late 60s.

I’m sure LA does not want to claim Bogalusa

Good question. I was there from PreK-1st. My parents pulled me out when I developed a thick southern accent.
