NUmbness may just be neuropraxia from contused nerve. Not sure about the krispies. Possibly may have fissured chondral surface of patella. Does it crackle when you flex/extend knee? Is it only in subcutaneous tissue? I'd at least get a plain X-ray

Sounds like Crepitus, medical marijuana should clear it up.

Being smart about it would be going to see a medical provider and letting them physically examine your area of injury.

Seems like you should see a doctor

Don't want advice but want to know what's going on... makes sense!

ITT: a bunch of people who have no idea what is going on and a couple of people who do.
Just another day on the OT. Thanks to those of you who made good attempts!

So what diagnosis are you going with?

how can a doctor (or OT poster) make an objective "diagnosis" based on your subjective complaints of pain ?
you need to see a medical professional and have diagnostic testing done to confirm your diagnosis and treatment recommendations
I deal with orthopedic surgeons all day long, and if I had to guess, you probably have a fractured patella (as noted above)

Traumatic pre-patellar bursitis. Ice will be your friend. You're welcome. Bill to follow.

Agree with this preliminary diagnosis and treatment.
Also called "housemaid's knee" (old school)

Tip: Record a 2.5 cm laceration as 2.6 cm and collect an extra 20%. The more you know!
