Good. I hope many more stories like this come out.

Doping up society for profit. Scum.

You had me until this,

quote:

basically not being able to make a profit unless the "fudge" (lie) on billing items.

My buddy has been tore up about it for two years, and says he can't go to hell for lying on billing just to feed his family, he'll find another line of work.

I know a bunch of doctors and they live like royalty. I'm not saying they don't deserve their riches considering the years of education and the responsibility, but I'd laugh at any doctor that gives me the poor mouth.

The docs themselves are to blame for a big part of this, as their cartel (AMA) actively prevents people from becoming doctors, thus driving up the price.

What does this regurgitated talking point have anything to do with the issues brought up in OP?

How precisely does an artificial scarcity of doctors results in those docs having to have a very high patient volume in order to be profitable? Should be the opposite, no?

Or you can just move on without the shot and the script that aren't doing anything for your sniffles to begin with.

Most doctors have at least 3+ marriages that forces them to keep working.

If they can keep it in their pants and stay with 1 woman, they could all retire at 50.

My PCP went into concierge care and we went with him. He's a lot happier and so am I that we joined. It's been a huge difference.

The doctors I've seen over the years have all spent 10 or more minutes with me. Usually much more.

However, I have a hard time believing some of the aspects of "being a doctor" can't be striated to other professionals efficiently and effectively
It already is. Too much in some instances. I'm not sending my kids to some nurse practioner with scant hours of training online for anything beyond an outer ear infection or truly minor issue.

Has anyone ever seen the billing from health care providers to insurance? Grossly over charged with over 50% discounts. Everything in health care is fudged one way or the other.

Many like you are ignorant, understandably so.

It's not your fault, you don't know what you don't know.

$2,500/yr membership fee just to be seen. I called around because I wasn't paying that on top of insurance and out of pocket. Found out many many are going to that system. Luckily I found a new office that is not doing it yet.

So basically a $208 "insurance premium" except instead of that going to an insurance company, it goes to the physician.

Idk about you, but I pay almost $500 a month for my wife and myself (need it for the Rx plan). That seems like a fantastic deal considering with insurance I still have to worry about my deductible, OOP max, and making sure that everything is still in network.

No. You still have to have insurance. The $2,500/yr is just a buy in fee to see the Dr.

According to you math you’d be paying $708/ month to see that Dr. plus’s whatever copays the insurance made you pay.
