That's definitely more relevant. I'd still like to see the whole opinion from that doctor instead of just a snippet on TMZ though

So they ran background checks on everyone in the plane to determine who got bumped? Lol okay dude.

That doesn't seem very practical, does it?

Absolutely. frick him. He was a drug dealer facing 20 years and got off easy for "getting off" in a dude for drugs.

Karma's a bitch.

Maybe United's secret algorithm for selecting patients also searches for criminal records to use in its way of selecting patients to boot off overbooked flights.

Funny how the OT only employs this logic with **certain types** of people

that doesn't change the fact that he paid for a ticket

No he didn't. He paid to enter a contract under which he can legally be bumped for compensation. He (like many) may have thought he was entitled to fly, but he was not.

United's PR team doin work

quote:

United is digging for everything on this guy instead of crafting a public response that doesn't suck.

Yup, they're handling it like they're running a campaign for public office against this guy. I'm sure that will resonate well with everyday customers

Nah. United handled this poorly. I just don't think the doctor is completely innocent in the situation.

If they had just issued an apology right after the video came out and gave some bullshite about investigating it internally and discussing it with employees, nobody would be talking about it anymore

But they have their CEO making multiple public statements defending it, and them blasting out shite to undermine the person in the video, and everyone is still talking about it and will be for several days.

I'm sure the guy was hysterical and acted like an idiot. They aren't going to win this in the eyes of public perception though and they desperately want to for some reason. It's odd.

I have to agree. His past is relevant as far as showing the guy is known to not comply with societal standards. EXACTLY LIKE the fact that Alton Sterling's extensive criminal history is absolutely relevant to his failure to cooperate and eventually being shot. If people can't grasp the concept in both situations then they aren't being honest. People can defend this dude all they want but he definitely had at least partial responsibility for creating this situation.

How is this relevant at all?

Because it shows this guy sucks as a human and while he got screwed by getting kicked off the flight his actions escalated the situation into what it became.

United sucks for overbooking the flight and kicking people off but I feel much worse for the three people who got booted and didn't make a complete spectacle of themselves.

OT, but i'm curious how the OJ murder trial would unfold in 2017 with all of the SJWs and white knighting

part of me thinks we'd actually have a better result. part of me thinks we'd have the same result with warring factions of dipshit millennials to make it even more entertaining.

one thing would definitely be the same. OJ would kill her all over again if he could

He's a pansy with whiteknight syndrome. It's his MO from LSU, to Baton Rouge, to now this situation.

The Doctor pulled off from United Airlines on April 10 was David Thanh Duc Dao

The one you talked sexual offend is Dr. DAvid Anh Duy Dao.
They are two different people.

Chinese or Vietnamese people would differentiate by first name and middle names.

Rodney King, also had some trouble with the law. I knew the officers that beat him down. The officers got caught going outside the law in the way they handled him. This got them in trouble. At the time being a younger officer we had to get retrained on how to deal with people. We were also told anything outside of our training that we do we would be held liable for our actions. I always even toward the end of my career as a supervisor told the people under me always do it by the book unless it is a true life or death situation.

This could have been even worse. While dragging the guy what if he grabbed on to someone and they got hurt. Then in the day of cameras everywhere it just was not a smart move by these officers.

The right way to do it would have been to secure his feet and upper body. Then carrying him off the plane in a secure manner.
Then if the video would come up the officers could have said, we did it by the book following procedures set forth by the agency over them.
