Discrediting a victim or source is highly effective in two cases.. When you are truly desperate or faced with a truth you cannot refute.

United is playing this so dirty. No doubt they know everything about this guy and are feeding it to people

I found it this morning by googling his name + state. It was only a matter of time before this all came out. United wasn't sitting on the Dao file

I do think the information is relevant. It shows this guy isn't so innocent and backs up the claim that he was acting a complete arse before we get to see him getting yanked off of the plane.

Too bad he didn't have any pills on him. Maybe he could have bribed United personnel with drugs.

You're reaching quite a ways there.

I'm not siding with United on the issue of him being forcefully being yanked off a plane. United was wrong and deserves all the public backlash they're getting right now

But I've also seen people I know have painkiller addictions ruin their lives...so its hard to have sympathy for a doctor who was writing false prescriptions for Oxycontin and hydrocodone

And their work has paid off in reaching you.

If he was acting like a complete arse, don't you think the people on the plane would be cheering his removal instead of berating the cops? I don't believe the unruly claim one bit.

sure it does. In this day and age, everything is public.

Writing illegal scripts and exchanging them for sex in 2005 means he deserved what he got on the plane? Come on man

Legal Controversy (David Anh Duy Dao)
There is current speculation that David Thanh Duc Dao has a criminal record under the name 'David Anh Duy Dao.'[15]? However, this has largely been disproven and is thought to be malicious move by United Airlines' legal team in a bid to smear Dao's name.

This article has copies of court documents and documents from Kentucky Board of Medicine.

Not saying United may not be behind some of this guy's past coming into public view, but it doesn't seem like they're making shite up.

Everyone knows he was being a pest. That's not relevant at all.

Nope. But this was from his reinstatement hearing in 2015:

quote:

Interestingly, and relevant to the United incident, one doctor assessing Dao's case said he had interpersonal problems, noting "... he would unilaterally choose to do his own thing."

What does this have to do with him being kicked out of a seat that he paid for?

Irrelevant to his lawsuit

Relevant to the PR battle united find themselves in. Having said that, this was counter productive. It's pretty shocking how every new response or action is horribly ill advised. No wonder the airline sucks

i never said he should be pulled off a plane because of it. but he got pulled off a plane so his past is fair game. If i did what he did in 05 and then someone told me they were going to force me off of a plane i would have gotten up and bitched at the counter, instead of calling more attention to myself.
