Yep. It's fricking pathetic and I hope the vast majority of people are smart enough to realize what United is doing here.

The Doctor pulled off from United Airlines on April 10 was David Thanh Duc Dao
The one you talked sexual offend is Dr. DAvid Anh Duy Dao.
They are two different people.
Chinese or Vietnamese people would differentiate by first name and middle names.
Please let this be true.

Their just proving this dude was a dick and we don't have the whole story prior to his exit.
The fact that he fricked up royally as a doc 12 years ago proves absolutely nothing w/this specific case. It's not relevant AT ALL. Holy frick it scares the ever living shite out of me that people like you could be on a jury.

Yeah it's interesting to see how the mechanics of this are playing out.

OT, but i'm curious how the OJ murder trial would unfold in 2017
I think OJ would be straight fricked b/c his lawyers wouldn't have been able to fool a jury ignorant of how DNA testing works into thinking that the sample getting dirty could somehow completely change the makeup of the blood.
Also, those pictures of him wearing the shoes he said he never owned would have turned up a hell of a lot faster. They would have popped up on a Reddit thread with quickness.

He signed a contract of carriage before he purchased the ticket. The contract entitled any passengers being bumped to compesnation up to a certain amount. If they didn't offer that to him before bringing in the goon squad it would appear that contract was breached.

How did this guy not get permanently banned from practicing medicine. They'll let anybody be a doctor these days
Exactly the kind of reaction United wants with all this: a change of subject.

United offered $800.

bringing in the goon squad
It was Chicago Department of Aviation, not United employees.

In the form of unbelievably shitty vouchers. If they offered cash, or even more money, it would have been cheaper than this fallout.

Was that 400% of his one way fare? That was the contract.

At the behest of United?
So let me get this straight, United offers deal not inline with it's contract of carriage, and then calls the police when no one agrees to it, and claim they have an unruly passenger.
Yeah this should help their publicity problem.

So wait, let me get this clear. People think TMZ needs to be in cahoots with united to go forward on a story like this?
You do realize this is akin to the people saying his past has something to do with this situation?
Not everything has to be connected ya know

If you ask someone to leave your business and they don't comply don't you have the right to escort them off property?
Guy is a loon who freaked out.

400% is not a standard compensation rate. Depending on the circumstance, he may not have qualified for a 400% voucher.
From United's website... United.com
quote:
Compensation for Passengers Denied Boarding Involuntarily

If UA offers Alternate Transportation that, at the time the arrangement is made, is planned to arrive at the Passenger’s Destination or first Stopover more than two hours after the planned arrival time of the Passenger’s original flight, UA shall pay compensation to Passengers denied boarding involuntarily from an Oversold Flight at the rate of 400% of the fare to the Passenger’s first Stopover or, if none, Destination with a maximum of 1350 USD.

The gate agents or whoever offered this voucher DGAF about the price of the voucher. Whoever it was was being a jackwagon. I know plenty of people that work for airlines and none of them care about that kind of stuff unless it gets them in trouble. I've seen people not have cash or a credit card or whatever, and the stewardess give free stuff all the time.
My point is that someone else should of stepped in and told whoever was doing the vouchers to stop being a prick and up it until they got a volunteer. Instead someone was being a prick about the money and no one stepped up to put them inline.

It's not relevant to this particular case but who cares.
It depresses me that people think it's okay to defy law enforcement and hold other people up for several hours.
